Would the D855 variant work in the usa? Trying to decide on a gsm phone to take to cricket.

Appreciate any help or advice.

It should work, but you may or may not get all LTE frequencies.
Non-Virgin phones, on other carriers isn't exactly our specialty.

Verizon Galaxy S4 is an international version (unlocked as well), it gets LTE on every carrier (or almost every), just not all frequencies, so don't use that metric.

Look up the phone and see what radios it had and frequencies it supports, then look up what the carrier is using.
